Trade Show Printing for Kraft Nursery and Farms

As a business driven by landscape and yard design it wasn’t a far leap for them to choose and sell their ideal grill to be incorporated into their designs.

Requesting trade show printing they needed an advertising piece that would stand out among all other pieces customers would get as they walked from booth to booth.

As a distributor of Traeger Grills Kraft Nursery and Farms wanted a promotional piece that would feature key aspects of the grill as well as inform people they could be purchased locally in Evansville, IN.

When designing trade show printing, sometimes the absence of color helps a piece to stand out more. In this single panel brochure I chose to use a deeper green that I sampled from the Kraft Nursery and Farms Logo. Deepening the green helped make the text and linear elements stand out.

Again, using white space to offset the text made the piece easier to read as well as showcasing the grills. I also chose to print this single panel brochure on a high gloss thick stock to further help it stand out in the hand fulls of advertising materials their potential customers would get at this trade show.

Evansville Hair Salon Website Design

Content Managed Website developed for Voilà Hair and Nails Salon. This Evansville salon website portrays the same warm chic feeling represented inside their front doors.

Angie, the salon owner, put so much work into creating her salons inviting atmosphere I wanted to make certain it came through on the website.

Warm, welcoming, friendly or just a place to enjoy the company of friends, are all accurate descriptions of Voilà Hair and Nails Salon. The same needed to be conveyed when opening this Evansville salon website. Angie already established a vibrant fun logo, featuring an energetic green before developing her salon website. I loved the idea of using this shade of green as an accent. I utilized warm shades of brown to lay a welcoming background for the content and incorporated an overlay of black to showcase this green. This also makes a subtle reference to her other branding without over powering the design.

We definitely wanted to let all potential clients know the products her salon offered without having each bottle featured in an e-commerce fashion. So, featuring them in small groups allows everyone to see the product lines available without becoming overwhelming. This also allowed us to use the product headlines as links to each manufacturing salon website, further validating the site in search engines and helping with Search Engine Optimization ranking.

Logo Design for New Business, Liggon Transport

Logo Design is one of the most important places to start with your business. Don’t forget a strong Logo will give your company the proper representation.

That is why I have a standard logo design process I stick with that yields accurate and effective results.

logo design process step 1 sketches

To most this may look like chicken scratch. However, this is step 2 in my logo design process, step 1 being a detailed meeting with my client to completely understand them and their industry. There are times when ideas come faster than the computer develops. So, I begin every project with pen, paper and notes.

logo design process step 2 logos in black and white

Logo design process, in black and white. If it works in black and white it will work in color, which will be added later. Using this method allows full focus to be on the structure and functionality of the logo. It is really easy to be distracted by color and lose focus on structure and usability. Remember, it’s best to develop a logo that can be used any where any time.

Website Design for House of White Bridal Boutique

Gold American Advertising Award for Website Design and Development

I developed a visual campaign used for print materials and incorporated in the website development of this exclusive Bridal Boutique located in Newburgh IN.  After initial launch I design for and maintain this ever-changing website to correspond with seasonal bridal collections, promotional events and content changes.

Using HTML and CSS I developed a custom designed CMS website which includes a unique blog design, detailed appointment request page and collection pages featuring their exclusive designers.

When considering your website development, consider a blog. It is one of the best ways to increase SEO {Search Engine Optimization} for any website. When regular posts are made and paired with existing SEO written content it organically promotes website ranking in Search Engines thus linking it with target clientele.

Bridal Boutique Home Page Design

To help them stand out we utilized a full page slide show on the home page. Having a slide show on the home page does not allow for much content to assist in Search Engine Optimization. This solution works for this project because of consistent updating and changes done throughout the entire site.  This consistent maintenance helps search engines know there is current and relevant information on this website allowing it to appear in the appropriate searches.

Bridal Boutique Blog Page Design

Wanting to convey a more light and whimsical feel for the blog I tweaked the design by adding large polka dots at a lower opacity. This also helps the content and images stand out.
